Only two days to our shoot

The time for our session is almost here—and I’m so looking forward to capturing this special chapter for you.

Below, I’ve pulled together a quick highlight reel of everything we’ve covered, just to make sure you feel calm, prepared, and excited heading into your shoot.

Take a few moments to revisit the steps, settle into the intention behind them, and know that I’ll be guiding you throughout.

About the session

“We don’t remember days, we remember moments.”

I can’t wait to have you step into the frame—with your family, your story, and all the quiet beauty and sweet chaos that comes with it.

What’s important

01. Colour and comfort

Finalise the outfits for yourself and the family. Soft, neutral tones work beautifully and help keep the focus on connection. Avoid bold logos, busy patterns, or very bright colours. Comfort is key.

02. Keep it simple

I strongly encourage you to stick with a single outfit for the session. Changing clothes can interrupt the natural flow, pull everyone out of the moment, and shift the focus away from what matters most—connection, not coordination.

If you're looking for more variety in your gallery, there are softer ways to add it. Accessories like hats, scarves, light layers or even a favourite blanket can give us a fresh feel without the disruption. Let’s focus on the movement, emotion and ease.

03. Prepare your home

Take a look around your home and decide if there are any objects or clutter you’d like to move out of the spaces we’ll use (usually the master bedroom, kids rooms, and living room). No need to deep clean—just create a clear, lived-in backdrop.

04. Be there for the light

Good timing is everything. Especially when it comes to outdoor sessions and light. Being on time isn’t just a detail, it’s an important part of the success of your session. That window of soft, golden glow? It’s short and doesn’t wait for us. Please plan ahead: allow extra time for traffic, get everything ready the night before, and aim to arrive feeling calm, not rushed.

If you’re having your hair and makeup professionally done, let your artist know your session time in advance and build in a buffer—just in case. Beautiful makeup is lovely, but if we miss the light, we lose the magic.

Let’s give ourselves the best chance to create something truly special—together, and on time.

Final notes

There’s no need to have your home perfect and your kids cooperating all the time. What’s most important is to be present and involved in creating the special moments you told me about in the questionnaire.

We’ll follow the natural rhythm of your family with enough space for everyone. You might feel it’s too chaotic at times but trust me, the most meaningful images don’t come from perfect poses or behaviour. They come from feeling: the way you hold hands, the way cuddle your kids and how love fills the space between you.

Let go of expectations. Be present. That’s all I need to capture something real.

See you soon!
