Authentic Family Moments, Beauty in The Chaos and Much More

Family

Family sessions? Oh, they’re wonderfully unpredictable. A little hectic, a touch chaotic and absolutely full of life. Don’t worry if someone’s hair is out of place or your toddler refuses to sit still (in fact, that’s kind of the point - to capture them in their element, exploring and being kids). This isn’t about perfectly posed portraits or stiff, cheesy smiles. It’s about the giggles during a tickle fight, the quiet cuddles in between the noise, the love-filled energy that your family can bring. Trust me, what feels like a whirlwind in the moment often turns into the most heartfelt, genuine images that will bring tears of happiness once you see your gallery.

Family sessions take place in the comfort of your home or outdoors, wherever feels most you. We’ll focus on love, connection, and all those little in-between moments that matter most. No stiff poses, no Pinterest-perfect recreations - just honest, meaningful photographs of your life, right now, at this stage of your journey together.

I’ll guide you through choosing a location, finding outfits that feel good (and photograph beautifully), and making the most of the natural light available at your home or at our selected location. The goal? A relaxed, enjoyable hour where you can be fully present with your loved ones so we can capture a story you’ll want to hold onto forever.

kind words

“I was so impressed with how naturally my two-year old daughter’s smile was captured. This ‘naturalness’ you captured is truly amazing and what we liked the most. I am so grateful to have been able to keep a true memory of a normal day in Dubai.”

Your Family Photo Session FAQs

If you’re planning a family photoshoot, you probably have a few questions. Don’t worry - I’ve heard them all, so here are some of the most common ones, answered with honesty, experience, and a little Dubai-specific know-how from my years of shooting family sessions here.

01. How far in advance should I book my family session?

If you’re dreaming of an outdoor session, timing is key. In Dubai, that usually means late October through early April, when the weather is kind to us. My November and December weekends tend to fill up months ahead, so if that’s your target, don’t wait too long to reach out.

02. What time is best for a family session outdoors?

This depends on the location and how early your crew is willing to wake up.

For desert sessions (Al Qudra), I recommend afternoons. It’s much easier to get everyone up the dunes at 4pm than at 6am.

For Old Dubai, mornings or late afternoons both work beautifully. An 8am start is ideal before the streets get busy, but the afternoon light there is gorgeous too.

For Al Qudra Lakes, the same timing applies - early morning or late afternoon light works best.

03. What should we wear for the family session?

Good question and one of my favourites to help with! You’ll get access to my styling guides (packed with tips and inspiration) and my online styling tool that makes choosing outfits for the whole family easy and, dare I say, even fun.

04. What if my kids don’t follow directions or aren’t in the mood?

You’re definitely not alone as it happens all the time! Little humans rarely have all their attention on the shoot, but don’t worry. I’ve photographed enough families to know that a beautiful session is so much more than poses and forced smiles. Real moments often come after the little meltdowns. With patience, gentle direction, and a bit of creative distraction, I always find a way to bring out sweet moments, genuine smiles and meaningful gestures. Sometimes the best photos come from the imperfect moments - the cuddles, giggles, or even the cheeky side glances that make your family yours. Trust the process.
